He married first at Cambridge, Lamoille County, Vermont, on 10 August 1974 SANDRA DAWN FISHER. She was born at Burlington, Chittenden County, Vermont, on 30 March 1955. They divorced at Lamoille County on 26 October 1995. He married second at Johnson, Lamoille County, on 28 October 2002 CAROL ANN (JACKSON) DANISHER. She was born at Vermont on 19 August 1950. She had previously married at Randolph, Orange County, Vermont, on 14 June 1975 SAMUEL S. DANISHER.

Bruce Maxfield and his first wife Sandra Fisher had the following children:
