PAUL LELAND11 MAXFIELD was born at Baker City, Baker County, Oregon, on 17 September 1954 a son of Leland Clyde Maxfield and his wife Mildred Ruth Bettger. He married at Longview, Cowlitz County, Washington, BRENDA LYNN HAUPT. She was born at Longview, on 14 September 1955.[1]
Paul Maxfield had two older sisters, ages 11 and 8 when he was born. The child of a minister, Paul moved with the pastoral assignments of his father. He lived with his family at Sunnyside, Yakima County, Washington, from age 3 to age 14, then at Rainier, Columbia County, Oregon, in his later teen years. After marriage, Paul and Brenda moved back to Sunnyside, where their two children were born.
Paul Maxfield received a Masters in Education degree from Central Washington University, Ellensburg, Kittitas County, Washington, in 1984. He later, in 2002, received a Doctor of Philosophy degree in International Education from Greenwich University, London, England.[2]
Paul Maxfield has worked as Elementary and Middle School Principal at Triple C School, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands, from 1990 to 1992, and Middle School Principal at Country Day School, San Jose, Costa Rica, from 1992 to 2003. Since then he has been executive director of Childen of Promise, the child sponsorship mission of the Church of God (Anderson, IN).[3] More information can be found at echildrenofpromise.org
